Civilian helicopter instructors responsible for training rotary-wing pilots and crewmen for all three of the UK armed services have voted in favour of industrial action. If the strike goes ahead, it will be the first industrial action ever taken in the UK by pilots working for the military. It would affect Defence Helicopter Flying School training provided under contract by FB Heliservices at the Royal Air Force stations at Shawbury, Shropshire, and Valley in north-west Wales, says the British Air Line Pilots Association.
