Ukraine International Airlines has taken delivery of a Boeing 737-300 freighter, the first of the type for the carrier, which will be used to provide cargo capacity on services to Vienna.
The Kiev-based carrier will initially operate the jet three times per week on the route to the Austrian capital, increasing to five-times weekly from early August.
Capacity on the 737-300SF, which can transport 16t of freight, will be marketed for Ukraine International by its general sales agent Globe Air Cargo.
Formerly operated by EasyJet before its conversion, and then by US carrier Kitty Hawk, the 19-year old aircraft is registered UR-FAA and owned by lessor GE Commercial Aviation Services.
