The first Ukrainian national satellite will be launched from Russia's Plesetsk Cosmodrome in June. Called Sich 1, the spacecraft will be a modification of the remote-sensing satellite which was formerly flown under the Soviet Union guise of Okeon O. The Sich launch will also carry Chile's FASat Alpha microsatellite, built by Surrey Satellite Technology of the UK (Flight International, 24-20 August, 1994).
