The first Ukrainian national satellite will be launched from Russia's Plesetsk Cosmodrome in June. Called Sich 1, the spacecraft will be a modification of the remote-sensing satellite which was formerly flown under the Soviet Union guise of Okeon O. The Sich launch will also carry Chile's FASat Alpha micro-satellite, built by Surrey Satellite Technology of the UK (Flight International, 24-20 August, 1994).
