AlliedSignal has announced a contract to supply AN/APX-100 transponders to GKN Westland helicopters for use on the Royal Air Force's new SH-101 support helicopter.
"This opens the door for AlliedSignal to the UK and European next generation military aircraft and air traffic control transponder markets," said Alan Dietrich, vice-president and general manager for AlliedSignal Communications Systems.
"We believe there are significant opportunities around the world for this product to help increase the safety of military forces and air traffic control."
