Northrop Grumman flew the first of two Increased Capability III (ICAP III)EA-6B Prowlers on 16 November. The ICAP III upgrade will improve the Prowler's electronic attack capability by directing the jamming energy at the specific frequencies of the target radar, rather than transmitting across a broad frequency range. ICAP III initial operational capability is scheduled for 2005.
