Boeing has begun flight testing the first Lockheed Martin Hercules upgraded under the US Air Force’s C-130 avionics modernisation programme (AMP). The C-130H2 made a delayed first flight from Lackland AFB, Texas on 19 September. The second trial-installation aircraft, a C-130H2.5, is now undergoing modification.
