Russia's Ural Airlines has inaugurated a hangar to maintain its Airbus A320-family fleet.
The 8,250m² (88,800ft²) facility has replaced the carrier's hangar at Ekaterinburg Koltsovo airport. It can accommodate four A320s, or two narrowbodies and an A330.
General director Sergei Skuratov says this will allow Ural Airlines to fully maintain its all-Airbus fleet in-house rather than abroad.
The carrier currently has 19 leased A320s, 10 A321s and five A319s. But Skuratov believes that the new MRO centre could also provide technical services to third-party customers.
