General aviation integrated flightdeck supplier Avidyne has merged with traffic-surveillance specialist Ryan International and launched a new family of active traffic advisory and multi-hazard avoidance systems for GA aircraft ranging from piston singles to turbine twins. Columbus, Ohio-based Ryan has become Avidyne’s Safety Systems group. New Piper, meanwhile, has selected Avidyne’s Entegra integrated avionics for the Seneca V piston twin, its 10th model to be upgraded with the new flightdeck, which features two 265mm (10.4in) liquid-crystal displays.
