The US House Aviation Subcommittee has approved a "reparations act" that would provide $2.5 billion in direct compensation and $5 billion in loan guarantees to the country's general aviation industry which was not included in the $15 billion airline rescue package, but the measure is unlikely to be passed before the end of the year.
