Israeli and US forces will jointly conduct an exercise focusing on the defence of Israel from attack by long-range ballistic missiles.
To be held in May 2012, it will be the biggest joint exercise to be conducted by the two countries and will feature a number of advanced missile defence technologies.
These will include the deployment of Lockheed Martin's Terminal High Altitude Area Defence and Northrop Grumman's Aegis systems, along with Israel Aerospace Industries' Arrow 2 ballistic missile interceptor and Rafael's Iron Dome rocket interceptor.
The exercise will test compatibility of the systems and their ability to prioritise the intercept process according to the threat.
