American Airlines will implement a codeshare agreement with Vietnam Airlines over the next 20 months. American will be the first US carrier to sell seats to Vietnam in 26 years. Travellers will still have to change aircraft in Taiwan for now. until the USA and Vietnam reach a civil aviation agreement that allows direct flights between the two countries.
