Vancouver International Airport's C$260 million ($190 million) International Terminal was opened on 1 June, aimed at boosting the airport's bid to become a major gateway between North America and the Asia Pacific region. The terminal provides capacity for an additional 6 million passengers annually, increasing the airports total capacity to around 15 million people.
