A novel variable frequency power generator can be seen in Hall 4/F1 on the Lucas Aerospace stand. The generator, developed over 18 months specifically for the Bombardier Global Express, produces three phases of 115 volts and removes the need for costly and complex conversion devices. Lucas is now developing a family of similar generators aimed at all civil jet engines.
