VASP Brazilian Airlines took delivery of its eighth McDonnell Douglas MD-11 from Long Beach, California, on 2 July. The Sao Paulo-based operator introduced its first MD-11 into service in 1992. More than 150 MD-11s are now in service with 19 operators.
