Extraordinary video images have emerged depicting the moments after a Russian-operated Tupolev Tu-154 came to rest in a wooded field after losing power and conducting an emergency landing.
The aircraft, operated by Mirny-based carrier Alrosa, had been flying between Polyarny and Moscow on 7 September when it developed a technical fault and was forced to divert to Izhma, a remote airfield with a short runway.
Alrosa says there were 81 passengers and crew on board the aircraft but no-one was injured.
Video of the subsequent evacuation shows passengers emerging from the exits and standing on the wings, taking photographs and making phone calls, while other footage shows people gradually evacuating by slide from a forward exit.
