A Pinnacle Airlines Bombardier CRJ regional jet skidded off the runway on landing early this morning at Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City, Michigan.

The aircraft, operating as Northwest Airlink flight 4712 from Minneapolis/St Paul, was carrying 46 passengers and three crewmembers. Noone was injured.

The airline says:“Upon landing [at 00:43], the aircraft received no braking action and came to a stop off the end of the runway.”

Some local reports say the regional jet slid about 50ft (15m) off the runway during a spring snowstorm. Photos of the aircraft appear to show the front landing gear collapsed.
