Vietnam Airlines is to receive its first Airbus A350 on 30 June, becoming the second customer, after Qatar Airways, to take delivery of the type.
The carrier is taking the A350-900 through leasing company AerCap.
Airbus has confirmed the delivery date and is planning a handover ceremony in Toulouse with the airline, the lessor and engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce.
The aircraft, MSN14, will carry the registration VN-A886.
Vietnam Airlines has 10 of the type on order, and is taking another four from leasing firms. Its initial A350 carried out its first flight earlier this month.
