PZL Mielec delivered four An-2 Colt single-engine biplanes to the Vietnamese government late last month. The An-2 has been out of production for more than a decade and PZL had to call back some retired staff to complete the order.

PZL president Andrzej Szortyka says the 745kW (1,000hp) PZL Kalisz ASZ-62-1R-powered aircraft are likely to be the last ever built, as the second-hand market will satisfy the limited world demand.
