Equity Virgin America is still trying to finalise its capital, almost one month after its minority shareholder and creator Richard Branson declared that he had finished the negotiations and was within the final contractual stages. The failure to close the equity deals since Branson's January announcement ends all chance of the carrier meeting its previously declared mid-2005 launch.
