Virgin Express has introduced an Airbus A320 on a wet-lease contract from fellow Belgian charter airline Constellation International Airways. The aircraft is being operated on charters from Brussels in place of Boeing 737s, and that business now represents 40% of the airline's activity. Virgin Express says this enables it "to compare A320's economics to those of the 737-300/400s in our fleet", adding that it may convert some commitments for next-generation 737s, which were inherited from predecessor EBA, to the -300 model to standardise the fleet.
