Virgin Atlantic has ordered two more General Electric CF6-80C2-powered Boeing 747-400s for delivery in October and December 2001. Lease financing for the deal is being provided by General Electric Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). The UK carrier currently operates 16 747s, including six of the latest -400 variant.
