Microsoft is developing an upgraded variant of its popular Flight Simulator computer game with input from the US Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), Cessna and flight information publisher Jeppesen. Called Flight Simulator 2000, its reference section will include information from the latest AOPA flight training programme. AOPA says its participation does not constitute backing for the new product, but hopes that additional information about what it is like to be a pilot will encourage users to take up flying.
