Vistara has entered a maintenance agreement with Pratt & Whitney to service its fleet of 26 IAE International Aero Engines V2500 engines.
The deal sees Vistara sign up for the Pratt & Whitney’s "V-Services" engine maintenance programme for an undisclosed period.
“We have been able to achieve on-time performance (OTP) in excess of 90% and we want to consistently maintain that superior level of service for our customers. We needed a reliable and effective maintenance partner and we are confident that the V-Services agreement with Pratt & Whitney will help us minimize unscheduled removal of engines and provide the highest standards of safety,” says Phee Teik Yeoh, Vistara’s chief executive.
“Vistara has done a remarkable job in its initial phase and we are excited to support this full service carrier as it continues to grow in the Indian market,” adds Greg Gernhardt, president, Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines.
Ascend Fleets database shows that Vistara currently operates a fleet of six Airbus A320ceos. Another seven will be delivered by May 2016. All 13 A320ceos are leased from BOC Aviation.
