VivaAerobus has signed an eight-year power-by-the-hour component agreement with AJW Aviation for its Airbus A320 and A320neo aircraft.
The parts provider will place an inventory of A320 components in Monterrey, Cancun and Guadalajara to support the airline. It will also provide pool support for the aircraft type from its Miami parts facility.
The contract includes support for 52 A320s, including 40 A320neos that will be delivered starting in 2015.
"We partnered with AJW years ago and have received world class support that ensures the punctuality and top performance of our existing fleet of Boeing 737-300s; we will undoubtedly benefit from their A320 expertise throughout our fleet transition,” says VivaAerobus chief executive Juan Carlos Zuazua.
