Christian Heinzman has been named director-general of Antwerp-based Belgian regional airline VLM, with effect from 1 October. He was chief executive of Sabena-owned charter airline Sobelair before becoming director-general of Constellation International Airlines, a privately owned Belgian charter carrier. He will assist present VLM director-general Freddy Van Gaever, who will become vice-president. P Wauters has been appointed technical director. He was formerly line-maintenance manager with Sabena.
