MOSCOW-BASED Vnukovo Airlines has announced a deal with Aeroflot-Russian International Airlines (ARIA) to co-operate on Russian domestic, intra-CIS routes, and some international services.

The international destinations are those in Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. Co-operative arrangements are intended to improve passenger services, enable sales-office sharing, and improve outstation fuel-uplift prices through joint negotiation. Vnukovo is expected to gain from access to international services, and ARIA by entry into the domestic market.

In the meantime, Vnukovo says that it expects to begin Tupolev Tu-204 passenger services for the first time at the end of June, probably on the Moscow-Sochi route.
