The ongoing volcanic eruption at Mount Agung has closed Denpasar Ngurah Rai International airport for a third day.
A NOTAM advisory said that the airport will remain closed until at least 07:00 local time on 29 November.
The Darwin Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre advises that there is a continuous volcanic ash emission from Mount Agung to altitudes up to 20,000ft. Its modelling forecasts that the ash cloud is likely to move in a south-easterly away from Bali over the day, more towards the adjacent island of Lombok.

It is unclear however if this will open the way for Ngurah Rai to reopen, and it appears likely that even if it does that some airlines will wait before mounting flights, especially if the ash cloud impacts operations at the diversionary airport at Lombok.
With flights halted for three days, some airlines are taking extraordinary measures to move passengers out of the holiday island. Scoot has chartered buses and booked ferries to move passengers from Bali to Surabaya, from where they can catch flights to Singapore.
Jetstar, Virgin Australia and Singapore Airlines have offered passengers booked on flights to Denpasar the right to switch to other destinations in their networks.
