Although I may agree with the sentiment of Capt Kohn's letter about the 1994 Mull of Kintyre accident (Flight International, 20-26 May), I am astounded by his speculative comments in pre-empting the outcome of an inquiry into the RAF Chinook incident in Iraq.
I believe we should wait for the results from the board of inquiry, which has been radically revised since 1994, and it is hoped it will identify the exact cause, be it mechanical, electrical or, dare I say, "human error".
