Lockheed Martin and National Forge Company have teamed to build the BLU-116B Advanced Unitary Penetrator (AUP) penetration weapon. National Forge will manufacture the AUP main warhead body for Lockheed Martin, which received a contract to developed the AUP as an upgrade to the 900kg BLU-109 warhead. The new weapon can penetrate more than twice the thickness of reinforced concrete as its predecessor, according to the company.
