The JPR CAP group (Hall 5A,G36) has come up with the bright idea of using LED lamps normally used in car indicators to replace bulbs behind seatbelt signs and reading lights in aircraft cabins.

Still in its prototype stage, the product consumes less power and lasts longer, helping to reduce costs and maintenance. The operating current for 11 LEDs would be 150mA with a forward voltage of 2.6Vpc and power consumption of 1W/LED.

JPR CAP specialises in lighting and signalling and provides light sources for aircraft, trains, ships, medical devises, casinos and museum paintings. Its products include incandescent lamps, halogens, electric shock lamps and fluorescent lamps.
