Westland fin tip
GKN Westland Aerospace has been contracted to design and manufacture the tail-fin tip structure for the McDonnell Douglas MD-90, with first deliveries set for August. The part will consist of a load-bearing carbon-fibre outer skin, reinforced with a nomex honeycomb and aluminium frames.
