China's Jianghan Aviation Life-Support Industries (JALI) has revealed details of its TY5 aircrew escape system, which incorporates its latest electronic sequencer and tip-off cockpit stabilisation unit technology. JALI says the TY5 system allows safe escape at speeds in excess of 1,100 km/h.
An upper-limb restraint and protection unit has been introduced to counter the effects of wind blast on the pilot. JALI can also custom-build single and multi-seat aircrew escape systems for various military aircraft.
