One EBACE exhibitor hopes its customers never need to use its products. Winslow LifeRaft provides emergency life-raft systems to every major business jet manufacturer and here at the show it is displaying its vital life-saving equipment.

In an independent study the Winslow Ultima four-person raft has been rated superior because of its “usability” and “sensible design”. According to one of the testers, “without question in our opinion, the Ultima is the only raft we would want at hand if we suddenly found ourselves contemplating an unplanned dip…”

Winslow can provide custom design solutions through modification and completion centres worldwide.  The ultra-light raft carries full US Federal Aviation Administration/European Aviation Safety Agency Part 91, 121, 135 and JAR-Ops 1 approvals.  A large business jet carrying its full load of 15 passengers and three crew members using the 1552FAUL would cost around $10,000 to install, compared with an initial aircraft investment of at least $20 million.
