Central European budget carrier Wizz Air has agreed a line-maintenance pact with Lufthansa Technik Budapest covering Airbus A320s stationed at the Hungarian capital.
The agreement will take effect from February next year, says Lufthansa Technik.
It covers eight Wizz A320s at Budapest. The maintenance company will carry out the work at Budapest and Debrecen.
“They perform consistently at the level that meets our high standards for reliability and quality and they continue to manage the increased work scope, resulting from our growth, while maintaining a competitive price,” says Wizz chief Jozsef Varadi.
Lufthansa Technik says the Wizz fleet to be maintained in Hungary will increase to 20 A320s by 2024. The company adds that it will manage the carrier’s hangar at Budapest as part of the deal.
