Wizz Air has signed a contract firming up its previously-announced intention to order a dozen Airbus A320 family narrowbodies. The central European budget carrier has ordered a mix of 12 International Aero Engines V2500-powered Airbus A319s and A320s. Deliveries will begin in mid-2007 and will run into 2008. Wizz Air already operates six leased A320s and also plans to lease three additional new A320s over the next eight months.
