The German company, of Alzey, near Frankfurt, will provide engineering services and aircraft-on-ground support. CIS Air has purchased the McDonnell Douglas DC-10 spares inventory of Philippine Airlines. The German Federal Aviation Authority has awarded JAR-145 certification to new maintenance business Schneider Air Service, licensing it as a line maintenance and repair station.The company is based at the Friedrichshafen regional airport in southern Germany, and specialises in line maintenance on civil aircraft. AAR Aircraft Services has opened a new maintenance and paint hangar at Oklahoma City, able to handle narrowbody and regional jets.
