-Hawker Pacific Aerospace has won a $5 million five-year contract to repair and service landing gears on 16 UPS Airlines Boeing 747 freighters. It will perform the work at its facility in the UK. The company has also secured a $6 million five-year landing gear maintenance contract from SAS, LOT Polish Airlines, Martinair Holland and Spanair.
-Germany-based charter operator Aero Lloyd has signed a 10-year deal with MTU Maintenance to support the airline's V2500-A5 engines on its new fleet of Airbus A320s and A321s.
-Aeroplex of central Europe is negotiating with Alitalia to extend a contract to maintain the Italian airline's fleet of Boeing 767-300s. The Hungary-based joint venture, owned by Lockheed Martin and Malev, recently completed the sixth Alitalia aircraft.
