FLS Aerospace has signed a General Terms Agreement with GE Capital Aviation Services to undertake heavy maintenance on the leasing giant's fleet of aircraft at the start or end of a lease. The deal, renewable yearly, covers all aircraft types that FLS is approved to overhaul. Initially the contract covers the maintenance company's facilities at London Stansted and Manchester but is expected to be extended to units in Ireland and Scandinavia. FLS Aerospace has also signed a deal with Air 2000 to provide component support for the airline's Boeing 757 and 767 fleets. The £40 million ($64 million) contract involved FLS in purchasing the airlines' current component stocks. The airline's sister Canadian company Royal Airlines is included. Air 2000 has placed a £40 million, six year contract with Monarch Aircraft Engineering (MAEL) for maintenance services

GE Aircraft Engines (GEAE) and the Bedek division of Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) are to co-operate in marketing aircraft and engine maintenance to customers worldwide. The agreement will combine the resources of the two companies in providing "one stop" aircraft and engine maintenance services

Messier Services has signed a $5 million deal with Ansett Australia to maintain, repair and overhaul the airline's fleet of Airbus and Boeing narrowbodies. Messier Services was created in July last year as a joint holding of Messier-Dowty (landing systems) and Messier Bugatti (brakes and hydraulics).

Revima has signed a comprehensive 10 year maintenance deal covering landing gear and auxiliary power units for KLM Group's 70 Boeing 747s, MD-11s and McDonnell Douglas DC-10s. The French company is jointly owned by Sogerma (70%) and Air France.

SRTechnics has agreed a deal with Cathay Pacific for maintenance of A340-300 CFM56-5C4 engines. The 15-year deal covers power-by-the-hour on 11 aircraft.
