Wood Group Aero has won a five-year, $100 million contract to maintain 84 Pratt & Whitney JT8D-17/17A engines powering American Trans Air's Boeing 727s. Air Jamaica has signed a total technical support contract with Lufthansa Technik for its recently acquired Airbus A340-300. The aircraft is leased from International Lease Finance and was previously maintained by Lufthansa Technik when it was part of previous operator Air Mauritius' fleet. International Airline Support Group has signed a consignment agreement with Cincinnati-based operator Comair to market and sell the Delta Connection carrier's surplus Embraer EMB-120 spare parts. Azzurra Air has contracted FLS Aerospace to be its single source of component support for its two recently leased Boeing 737-700s. FLS will provide full technical support during the five-year contract. DuganAir Technologies' Stage 3 Quiet Wing System is being installed on two Pan Am 727-200s at Kelowna Flightcraft, Hamilton, Ontario. Air Kazakhstan has signed a five-year contract with Lufthansa Technik covering the technical support of its two Airbus A310-300s. GE Engine Services has been selected as the exclusive provider of CFM56-7 engine maintenance and support for Boeing NetJets' Boeing Business Jets. The agreement is valued at about $70 million. Boeing NetJets is a joint venture between Boeing Business Jets and Executive Jet. Air Atlantic, the Newfoundland-based maintenance division of Innotech-Execaire, has been awarded contracts by US operators Mesaba Airlines and Executive Aircraft to undertake major airframe and engine inspections and airworthiness directives on 15 Avro RJ85s and British Aerospace 146 regional jets. As part of the work, the company is also installing a US Federal Aviation Administration-mandated smoke detection/suppression system for the RJ85.
