Finova Capital has signed an agreement with London Stansted, UK-based engineering consultancy GAMIT to manage the US company's passenger to cargo conversions, base maintenance and engineering requirements worldwide. Lake Forest, California-based Aviation Distributors is to purchase for redistribution rotable parts valued at $51 million from KLM. The 6,400 line items are for the Airbus A300/A310, Boeing 737, 747 and MD-11 and McDonnell Douglas DC-10. A J Walter has purchased a large inventory of rotable and consumable spares for the Airbus A300-600 and A310 from a major European carrier. Continental Express has concluded a long-term maintenance agreement with Rolls-Royce covering 400 AE3007s which power its Embraer RJ-135/145 fleet. BAE Systems Filton, UK-based Aviation Services division has extended its maintenance capability to include the Airbus A320. Irish leasing specialist TransAer is the first customer for the service.
