Irish charter airline TransAer International Airlines has awarded FLS Aerospace a five year contract to support its growing fleet of Airbus A320s. The contract, estimated to be worth around $24.9 million, brings the total of TransAer A320s supported by Danish-owned third-party maintenance house FLS to nine. FLS Aerospace will undertake "A" and "C" checks, component access and exchange and component repair. It will conduct overhaul services, engineering and planning and provide use of line maintenance equipment at Dublin Airport. Boeing Airplane Services will start its first 757 freighter conversion for DHL at Wichita in the middle of this year. Xiamen, China-based maintenance company TAECO has completed repairs and painting of the damaged Qantas 747 which overran in Bangkok last September.
