Malév Hungarian's Budapest maintenance arm Aeroplex of Central Europe has been contracted by Air Europa to overhaul a Boeing 737-300, and conduct C-checks on two 737-400/800s. British Airways franchisee Comair has renewed its aircraft maintenance contract with South African Airways Technical for another five years, in a deal worth R1 billion ($101 million). Low-fare airline Bmibaby has signed a two-year contract with FLS Aerospace (FLSA) to provide line maintenance services at its new base at Cardiff Inter-national Airport. FLSA has also won a $9 million contract from low-cost carrier Norwegian to provide component management support for its fleet of six 737-300s.The five-year contract will see FLSA place a consignment of stock at Oslo Gardermoen airport for the exclusive use of Norwegian. Toronto-based Skyservice Airlines has awarded Tracer Repair & Overhaul a five-year, $2 million contract to maintain the Messier-Bugatti wheels and brakes on its 16 Airbus A320s on a charge per aircraft landing basis. Goodrich Aviation Technical Services has formed a three-year alliance with Tracer to outsource and streamline marketing and sales of its spare parts inventory. Tucson, Arizona-based Hamilton Aerospace Technologies has won a contract from Goodrich Aerostructures Group to overhaul and maintain a Boeing 727. Sabena Technics has signed a five-year contract to maintain and support Transaero's four Boeing 737-200/300s.
