World Airways has terminated the contract of its president and chief executive, Charles Pollard. He had planned to leave the US charter carrier when his contract expired this year. "The board desired to make a transition now to a complete an executive team that has a long-term commitment to our wet-leasing strategy," says chairman Coleman Andrews.
