The world's first lightweight, high-strength graphite epoxy composite cryogenic tank designed for flight has undergone testing at NASA and will be installed aboard the McDonnell Douglas Delta Clipper Experimental Advanced (DC-XA) single-stage-to-orbit technology demonstration vehicle, which will make its first test flight from White Sands, New Mexico in about June. The tank will hold liquid hydrogen at a temperature of 258°C.
