Aerospace industry executives who have always looked at the pilot and thought "I could do that" can now get the chance to prove it, thanks to British Airways.

BA has decided to take out its mobile simulator to corporate events to allow executives - key business customers of the alleged world's favourite airline - to try their hand at landing and taking off a Boeing 737-400.

The simlator is at Farnborough for the first time, situated outside chalet row K.

Senior first officer Keith Bayliss says that the simulator is proving to be a great success. "We have a qualified BA pilot in the right hand seat and the punter gets instruction as the show is running. They can take off and land."

The corporate day can cost around $1,700 (£1,100) but for visitors to the show a mere $12 (£8) will get you a ten-minute session.
