Xceptional Technologies (Hall C, stand 160) is at Asian Aerospace for the first time to sign up new Asian distributors for its LED flares.
Xceptional owner John Fisher has already spoken to four potential new Asian distributors at the show, including ones in India and the Philippines.
Used by emergency services, civil defence and search and rescue organisations, the flares are suitable for uses ranging from helicopter landing zones to object identification.
Available in red, amber, blue, green and white, the flares can be seen from up to 2km (1nm) away.
An infrared version is also available for military applications. “The flares use good chip technology and LEDs,” says Fisher. “They can be used continuously for up to 80 hours – competing products can’t come anywhere near that. Using LEDs efficiently, you use so little power and get such a great result.”
Xceptional’s appearance at the show comes after an agreement to provide the Singapore Police Force with 1,500 red-and-blue flares at the end of 2005.
