China's Xian Aircraft International has signed a contract with Boeing to provide another 1,500 vertical fins for the Boeing 737 aircraft.
Xian, a subsidiary of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), delivered its 1,500th fin to Boeing last week.
AVIC did not specify the value of the new contract, but says it is the biggest foreign aircraft components sub-contract deal to date.
Xian signed the first contract with Boeing to supply 1,500 vertical fins in 1996, and delivered the first one in 1998.
Its sub-contracting revenue increased 20% to more than $120 million in 2009, says Xian.
