Y-7H

This aircraft is a tactical-transport derivative of the Y-7, a version of the An-24.

JH-7

China has flown at least two prototypes of this two-seat interdictor/strike aircraft, although its service entry is increasingly under doubt. Prototype aircraft are fitted with WS-6 turbofans, although for production China had been trying to negotiate licence manufacture of the RB.199. These talks are in abeyance.

F-10

China is working in collaboration with Israel on a next-generation fighter called the F-10. The programme draws heavily on the Israeli's cancelled Lavi project. A first flight could occur in 1996. US intellligence drawings of the F-10 show a close coupled delta cannard single engine fighter design, very similar to the Lavi.

The aircraft is expected to fly within the next twelve months, with the likely choice of production powerplant to be a derivative of the Lyulka/Saturn Al-31F.

The aircraft will also be fitted with a multi-mode pulse doppler radar. Russia's Phazotron is proposing a derivative of the N-010 radar designed for the MiG-29M. The aircraft will also be equipped with active radar guided AAMs.
