Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has delivered its first two licence-built Sikorsky SH-60K anti-submarine warfare helicopters to the Japanese navy, and plans to deliver five more by late March. Production began in late 2003 under a seven-aircraft deal, but Tokyo has since ordered another 14 SH-60Ks and plans to acquire a further 23.
